The Olivia online tool is developed by partners within the EU-cofunded ARC2 project. Our interdisciplinary research team consists of data protection and IT experts, researchers from informatics, mathematics, statistics, data protection but also from educational sciences as well as highly skilled professionals and holds rich project and research experience within learning design, learning analytics and closely related areas. 

 

What is the purpose of the Olivia web tool?

The Olivia web tool is designed to raise awareness among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) about the significance of personal data protection. Its primary goal is to assist these enterprises in comprehending their responsibilities within the framework of data protection laws. Olivia aims to empower users by providing insights into data protection principles and guiding them on the implementation of appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard the personal data they handle.

Completion of all Olivia courses, self-assessment checklists, and the generation of templates for privacy policies, records of processing activities, consent forms, data protection impact assessments, legitimate interest assessments, and other documents DOES NOT GUARANTEE COMPLIANCE WITH GDPR AND NATIONAL DATA PROTECTION LAWS. ARC2 disclaims any responsibility for misinterpretation or misunderstanding of instructions related to template completion, self-assessment checklists, and other documents within the Olivia tool, as well as for any inaccuracies in document completion. If you are uncertain about how to fill out the templates, we strongly recommend seeking legal or technical advice from experts.

 

By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and will be able to continue using the Service. If you disagree with any part of these Terms of Service, you may not access the Service.

 

Please read our privacy policy carefully before using Olivia which describes how we collect, use, and disclose your personal data when you use the Olivia tool and tells you about your data protection rights.

 

Who may use this Service

This service is accessible at no cost to registered users.  The full functionality of the tool, such as receiving course completion confirmations and saving drafts of self-assessments and documents, is available only to registered users.

 

Although specifically designed for Croatian and Italian micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, it is open to all Data Protection Officers (DPOs) from both public and private sectors, as well as organizations (including data controllers and processors) across the entire European Economic Area (EEA).

 

Using Olivia tool

Our Service is part of an ongoing  EU-funded project ARC2 that we are implementing with the goal of helping SMEs through various activities and engaging with SMEs to understand their obligations arising from the data protection legal frameworks in Croatia and Italy. Due to that, it is possible that the Service will change over time based on research results, evaluations and requests for changes from our users. 

 

The Service is provided to You "AS IS'' and "AS AVAILABLE" and with all faults and defects without warranty of any kind. Without limitation to the foregoing, the ARC2 Consortium does not provide any warranty or undertaking, and makes no representation of any kind that the Service will meet your requirements, achieve any intended results, be compatible or work with any other software, applications, systems, or services, operate without interruption, meet any performance or reliability standards or be error-free or that any errors or defects can or will be corrected.

 

When you create an account, you must provide us the information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account on our Service. All user accounts and usage of the system is monitored to prevent exploits of the Service, and underlying IT infrastructure and to protect Our users from potential threats and misuse of their data. 

 

Created content

The ARC2 CONSORTIUM is not responsible for the content entered by the users. You expressly understand and agree that you are solely responsible for the content and for all activity that occurs under your account and your created content, whether done so by you or any third person that you invited to contribute to the development of your courses.

 

Any content saved in the system will not be used for any purposes except ensuring the integrity, security, and proper functioning of the service. If desired, you can delete your data at any time. Any reports and templates generated while using the service are not saved in the system. Reports and templates are generated from saved data and any temporary files required for the process are deleted immediately.

 

Intellectual Property Infringement

We respect the intellectual property rights of others. It is our policy to respond to any claim that content posted on the service infringes a copyright or other intellectual property infringement of any person. If you are a copyright owner, or authorized on behalf of one, and you believe that the copyrighted work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement that is taking place through the Service, you can submit your notice in writing via

 

Changes to These Terms of Service

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is substantial, we will make reasonable efforts to provide at least 15 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a substantial change will be determined at our sole discretion. New terms will be published under the new version and previous terms will be available for the reference. 

 

By agreeing to the new Terms of Service and continuing to use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you will be able to indicate this and request the deletion of your data. 

 

Termination

If you breach these Terms of Service, we may terminate your Account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation. Upon termination, your right to use the Olivia tool will cease immediately and your data will be deleted shortly after (allowing time to process the request).
