About topic
In this theoretical sub-module, small and medium-sized entrepreneurs (users) will be able to learn and understand:
- who the data controller is, who the data processor is, who the joint data controllers are, and what their mutual obligations are
- who the recipients of personal data are, third parties, and data processors
- how to regulate the relationship between the data controller and the data processor
The aim of this sub-module is to teach entrepreneurs to define their role in the personal data processing process: whether they are data controllers, data processors, joint data controllers, third parties, or recipients. If they are data controllers and have data processors, such relationships must be regulated by a contract or other appropriate legal act.
Learning outcomes
- Identifying roles in the personal data processing process (data controller, data processor, joint data controllers, recipients, third parties)
- understanding who determines the means and purposes of processing, who is responsible for processing, and why it is important to regulate relationships with data processors through a contract
- describing what must be included in a contract between the data controller and the data processor.
Certification information
After watching the video and studying the theoretical part, the user will be able to take a quiz to test their knowledge.
The user will be presented with statements and will have to indicate whether they consider them true or false. Once the user answers all the quiz questions, a section called RESULTS will appear with explanations for the answers.
The system will generate a certificate as proof of passing the theoretical sub-module if the user achieves a minimum of 80% correct answers.
