In this theoretical sub-module, small and medium-sized entrepreneurs (users) will be able to learn and understand:
- the principles of personal data processing prescribed by the GDPR
- how to comply with the principles of lawfulness, fairness, and transparency
- how to comply with the principle of purpose limitation and what to do if they want to process personal data for a different purpose than the one for which they originally collected the data
- what entrepreneurs (data controllers) need to do to respect the principle of data minimization and what amount of data is considered appropriate and relevant
- why the principle of accuracy is important and how to adhere to it
- what the principle of storage limitation is and how to determine the retention period for personal data
- why the principle of integrity and confidentiality is important and what measures to take to comply with that principle
- what the principle of accountability is and how to demonstrate compliance with the GDPR
- what technical and integrated protection of personal data is and how to apply it in practice
The aim of this sub-module is to familiarize small and medium-sized entrepreneurs (users) with the importance of understanding the principles of personal data processing from Article 5 of the General Data Protection Regulation through practical examples and how to apply them in every processing of personal data.
After reviewing the video and theoretical content, the user will be able to take a test (quiz) and answer questions to assess their knowledge. The user will be presented with statements and will indicate whether they consider them to be true or false. After answering all the questions in the quiz, a section called RESULTS will appear with explanations for the quiz answers. The system will generate a certificate as proof of passing the theoretical sub-module if the user achieves a minimum of 80% correct answers.
